Cookies and local storage in plain language
A cookie is a small piece of data a website or its delivery service asks the browser to send back on relevant requests. Local storage is browser site data retained on the device and accessed by that site's scripts; it is not automatically sent with every request. Neither can inspect files or identify installed drivers or hardware by itself.
Browser controls can show or clear these separately. Blocking or clearing a routing cookie may affect delivery or cause it to be set again on a later visit; clearing local storage removes a possible old theme value but does not erase hosting logs.
Current application storage
Driver Atlas does not use advertising, affiliate, analytics, or behavioral-tracking cookies. The light-only interface does not offer a theme choice or persist a theme preference. A local-storage key named “theme” may remain from an older version, but it is legacy browser site data, not a current setting, cookie, account, cross-site identifier, or consent to unrelated processing.
Readers can clear any remaining copy through browser site-data settings for the origin where it was saved; the current website cannot clear storage at the former Replit origin. Blocking local storage does not prevent access to the educational text or change the light-only interface.
What the site does not currently set
Driver Atlas itself does not set cookies for sign-in, comments, forms, personalization profiles, measurement, advertising, attribution, or affiliate referrals. It has no cookie-based consent record because there is no optional tracking to accept.
The homepage has no video player or third-party player cookie. A browser or Replit hosting layer may handle delivery and security separately, as described below.
Necessary delivery data is separate
On September 25, 2026, the hosting response was observed setting a cookie named GAESA. Replit documents this as a Google serving-infrastructure cookie used to route requests to the correct application instance, not an application advertising or analytics cookie. The observed expiry was approximately 30 days after issuance, but the host controls its value, lifetime, and possible refresh.
Driver Atlas cannot disable or change that infrastructure cookie from its application code. Browser site-data controls can remove it, although another visit may set it again. Hosting can also process request headers and security logs; an observed cookie expiry does not establish the retention period of those separate records.
There is no optional tracking to accept or reject. If analytics or ads are introduced, this notice and any applicable reader controls would need to reflect the actual vendors, purposes, and processing.
How to interpret browser storage
Browser tools often group cookies, local storage, cache, permissions, and service data under one “site data” heading. That grouping does not make every item a cookie or tracker. Look at the item name, value, domain, expiration or persistence behavior, and which request created it before drawing a conclusion.
A local-storage key named “theme” is possible legacy data from an older version; it is not expected current application preference storage and can be removed without changing the light-only interface. A cookie attributed to a browser extension, security gateway, or Replit delivery layer may come from a different layer and should be assessed by its actual source and purpose.
- Open site settings for https://www.driverpackcentral.com rather than clearing all browser history; if needed, inspect the former Replit origin separately.
- Review cookies and local storage as separate categories where the browser provides that distinction.
- Remove any legacy “theme” value and reload; do not expect this to erase server-side security logs.
Cookie labels and reader choices
The necessary GAESA routing cookie is distinct from optional analytics or advertising storage, which Driver Atlas does not use. A browser's site-data display can include both cookies and local storage; clearing one category does not necessarily clear the other.
If optional tracking is ever added, a label alone would not establish its purpose or provide a meaningful choice. Any required controls would need to correspond to actual network and storage behavior, not just a policy statement.

Driver Atlas is publicly available at https://www.driverpackcentral.com. The legal operator, target markets, and monitored public contact channel have not been supplied. These notices describe current site practices; they do not establish which market-specific obligations apply or claim those obligations have been fulfilled.
